The mission of the Sawyer County Development Corporation (SCDC) is to encourage and promote economic development that will integrate, maintain and enhance the integrity of Sawyer County's natural resources.
The SCDC was created in the fall of 1994 as a collaborative effort between the Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce, Sawyer County UW Extension Office and local citizens.
The SCDC provides expertise to potential entrepreneurs and existing business entities including financial consultation and funding opportunities, business development services and planning, assistance with business expansions and relocations.
